Training and Experience
Our team is actively trained to ensure our customers receive the best possible service in the industry. They participate in programs including Service Excellence On-Demand Training, Hospitality Management and Leading a Culture of Service Excellence, enabling them to deliver above and beyond expectations for you and your pet.
As members of the IBPSA, we offer all team members top-tier training, tools and support. This includes additional staff education and certifications, risk management and safety training, and the latest industry reports from Heroes for Healthy Pets Infectious Disease Management. .
Pet Tech® is the first International Training Center dedicated to CPR, first aid are for dogs and cats, with over 20 years of experience. In their classes, K9 Resorts staff learn CPR techniques and first aid skills, as well as health and wellness information for dogs and cats.
At K9 Resorts, two Professional Pet Boarding Certifications are required to be completed. PPBC Level 1 is designed for Pet Care Technicians and provides a better understanding of what pet care involves on a daily basis, and is used as a proactive training tool to ensure comprehensive and consistent information to all staff. PPBC Level 2 provides best practices for an incident-free facility, and provides detailed and advanced information for senior staff, supervisors and managers.

Luna has attended daycare at k9 resorts several times a week for the past year, including a fun summer camp. She absolutely loves it and the staff, and is always excited to go. The staff goes above and beyond. They have learned Luna’s personality and are very caring. They always let us know how Luna’s day went and alert us to any minor issues. We also love that we’re able to see how she is doing (on Instagram) throughout the day. The facility is lovely, with both indoor and outdoor areas. Definitely would recommend.

Our beloved Biko simply LOVES whenever he gets to stay at K9 Resorts in Garden City!! The staff is absolutely amazing and so loving, not only to Biko, but also to us. We truly feel so good about leaving him under their watchful care and he loves being able to play and socialize with all his playmates. We appreciate the pictures that we receive while away, which definitely eased our initial trepidation as new clients about a year ago.
