At K9 Resorts Brooklyn, dogs are grouped by size to help create a more appropriate play environment.
Before joining a playgroup, every new guest completes our daycare evaluation and integration process. This gives our team an opportunity to learn more about each dog's personality, energy level and comfort in a new environment. Thoughtful introductions take place before group play, allowing dogs to gradually become familiar with the resort.
Approved guests enjoy all-day group play where they can move, socialize and stay engaged throughout the day rather than spending long stretches in crates.
Group play is not the right fit for every dog. For guests who are not joining a playgroup, private play sessions offer one-on-one activity and attention with a trained team member. These sessions give dogs another way to enjoy movement and enrichment during their visit.
K9 Resorts combines premium accommodations with purposefully designed spaces and a caring, well-trained team. Our K9 Clean System supports total dog wellness through advanced HVAC systems, Pet Therapy UV-light technology, antimicrobial flooring and thoughtful sanitation protocols using pet-safe products. Our climate-controlled resort areas are maintained at 68-72 degrees, providing a pleasant indoor setting year-round.
Our outdoor yards feature K9 Grass, a state-of-the-art artificial turf created specifically for dogs. It includes Microban antimicrobial technology and a proprietary drainage system for a soft, durable and paw-friendly play surface.
Team members complete comprehensive training that may include Professional Pet Boarding Certification, Pet First Aid & CPR and ongoing education. This preparation helps support well-managed activity and attentive service from arrival to pickup.

Luna has attended daycare at k9 resorts several times a week for the past year, including a fun summer camp. She absolutely loves it and the staff, and is always excited to go. The staff goes above and beyond. They have learned Luna’s personality and are very caring. They always let us know how Luna’s day went and alert us to any minor issues. We also love that we’re able to see how she is doing (on Instagram) throughout the day. The facility is lovely, with both indoor and outdoor areas. Definitely would recommend.

Our beloved Biko simply LOVES whenever he gets to stay at K9 Resorts in Garden City!! The staff is absolutely amazing and so loving, not only to Biko, but also to us. We truly feel so good about leaving him under their watchful care and he loves being able to play and socialize with all his playmates. We appreciate the pictures that we receive while away, which definitely eased our initial trepidation as new clients about a year ago.
