The right play environment can make a meaningful difference for smaller dogs. At K9 Resorts Troy, dogs are grouped by size to help create a more appropriate play environment. This allows small dogs to interact with pups whose size and movement are generally better matched to their own.
Before a new dog joins the group, they complete our daycare evaluation and integration process. Our team learns about each guest's play style, energy level and response to new surroundings. Thoughtful introductions help every dog become familiar with the setting at a comfortable pace.
Approved daycare guests can enjoy all-day group play in spacious indoor and outdoor areas. Rather than spending the visit sitting in crates, dogs have opportunities to move, engage and spend time with other dogs under the care of our trained team.
Dogs who do not participate in group play are not left out of the fun. Private play sessions provide one-on-one activity and enrichment with a trained team member, giving pet parents another option based on their dog’s individual needs.
K9 Resorts combines a hospitality-first approach with purposefully designed spaces and attentive care. Our climate-controlled resort is maintained between 68 and 72 degrees, helping create a comfortable indoor environment throughout the year.
Our outdoor play yards feature K9 Grass, a state-of-the-art artificial turf designed specifically for dogs. It includes Microban antimicrobial technology and a proprietary drainage system, creating a soft, durable and paw-friendly surface for outdoor activity.
Our team members complete comprehensive training that may include Professional Pet Boarding Certification, Pet First Aid & CPR and ongoing professional education. This preparation supports well-managed activity and attentive service from drop-off to pickup.
The K9 Clean System supports total dog wellness through advanced HVAC systems, Pet Aerapy UV-light technology, antimicrobial flooring and sanitation protocols using pet-safe products.

Luna has attended daycare at k9 resorts several times a week for the past year, including a fun summer camp. She absolutely loves it and the staff, and is always excited to go. The staff goes above and beyond. They have learned Luna’s personality and are very caring. They always let us know how Luna’s day went and alert us to any minor issues. We also love that we’re able to see how she is doing (on Instagram) throughout the day. The facility is lovely, with both indoor and outdoor areas. Definitely would recommend.

Our beloved Biko simply LOVES whenever he gets to stay at K9 Resorts in Garden City!! The staff is absolutely amazing and so loving, not only to Biko, but also to us. We truly feel so good about leaving him under their watchful care and he loves being able to play and socialize with all his playmates. We appreciate the pictures that we receive while away, which definitely eased our initial trepidation as new clients about a year ago.
